With that phenomenal achievement under their belt, Warrior began their maiden adventure in the football boot market with the Skreamer S-Lite Pro’s, and by the looks of things their debut was a smashing success. Warrior’s well-crafted boots found takers among some of the top players in football, and today footballers like Marouane Fellaini, Adnan Januzaj, Vincent Kompany and Aaron Ramsey proudly wear the American brand.
The Skreamer’s may feel a tad bit uncomfortable at first mostly due to its ‘Arrowhead’ forefoot, but slowly flexes out with use and eventually turns out to be an extremely smooth piece of sports footwear. However, the Skreamer’s insole is a real work of art and is integrated with excellent cushioning which gives one the feeling of walking on clouds. Another feature of the Skreamer’s that enhances its comfort is its lacing system, which is able to accommodate even the widest of foot without a hitch.
Warrior did well by designing the boot’s first touch area with Arrowhead like material. Despite it being synthetic, it flexes extremely well – so much so that the absence of leather on the Skreamer’s isn’t really felt. However one of the biggest disadvantages of the Arrowhead material is its frustrating ability to accumulate dirt between spaces rather quickly, but hey who says you have to stay spotless during a game of football?
Coming to the boot’s studs, Warrior pulled off a real masterstroke by fitting the Skreamer’s with extremely proficient carbon fibre studs. Not only do they perform extraordinarily on the field, but also hold their own against anything Nike and Adidas have to offer. This factor is bound to make people seriously consider giving the Skreamer’s a try.
All in all I think Warrior’s debut into the football boot market was a’screamer’ of a success, and even though it’s been a while since the Skreamer’s hit stores all over, it’s still worthy every cent of your hard earned money.
