Saturday, December 11 will see select Walmart stores in the US sell PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles in-store. This is a huge opportunity for gamers who want a PS5 or Xbox Series X and are getting tired of having to fight with bots online to get a console for themselves. However, it should be stresed that not every Walmart will be participating in the restock. Those interested should use the Walmart Gamer Drop store locator tool to see if their local Walmart will have PS5 and Xbox Series X stock on December 11 or not.

It should be noted that the PS5 and Xbox Series X won’t be the only new consoles Walmart will have in stock on December 11. Anyone that missed out on picking up the Nintendo Switch OLED console will have another chance to do so on December 11, as Walmart will have the latest iteration of the Switch available to purchase as well.
Even if one’s local Walmart is participating in the PS5 and Xbox Series X restock, customers should keep their expectations in check. The consoles are likely to sell out quickly, but there are ways that consumers can make it a little easier to buy one if they’re unsuccessful on December 11.
One way to make getting a PS5 or Xbox Series X console a little easier is by signing up for the Walmart+ subscription program. In the past, Walmart has given its Walmart+ members first dibs on next-generation consoles, and so it’s definitely something to consider for anyone that is still struggling to buy a PS5 or Xbox Series X.
Other retailers offer similar perks to their members, like how the GameStop PowerUp Rewards members are also given unique opportunities to buy consoles. Consumers can also sign up for PlayStation Direct if those other methods don’t work. Otherwise they’ll just need to pay attention to when the restocks happen and cross their fingers they are lucky enough to get a console.
